Well another week has come and gone and with it another click day comes..... TODAY in fact! Yep it is the 17 month mark today! i only have 7 more months to devote wholeheartedly to the Lord every moment... it is kinda bitter sweet, I have made it this far :) and i only have this long left. :( it is hard.
Well another week has come and gone and with it another click day comes..... TODAY in fact! Yep it is the 17 month mark today! i only have 7 more months to devote wholeheartedly to the Lord every moment... it is kinda bitter sweet, I have made it this far :) and i only have this long left. :( it is hard.
Well we haven't gotten the call yet but i am almost positive that
i am leaving Waverly on Thursday for another Area and another Journey. So for
one of two last HOORAY'S about the miracles that the Lord provides for the
members in this area and the beauty of all the works of God.
So here
they come we will start with Ke**:
#1 She decided to read/listen to the Book of
Mormon online and she actually PROGRESSED on her reading!!! She has read all the
way up to 1st Nephi Chapter 8 and is comprehending it... unfortunately she is
reading it to gain knowledge about the church and not to gain knowledge about
God so today we are going to teach her how to PRAY and ASK QUESTIONS of GOD. we
are really excited for the lesson!
#2 We saw **ott and it was a good day for us
to stop! he is going through some HUGE trials right now and so everyone PRAY for
Sc**t S.
#3 Members are the BEST they are so amazing and wonderful and
GREAT! They really do care for us and our well being as people and who we are
TEACHING and when they follow the spirit they can do miracles for the work!
(more on that in the further miracles)
#4 Spring and the warmth that it brings
to the World and the blessings of the Lord that the Lord is giving us in not
having it SUPER HOT AND HUMID... yet. But it is still cool and not very humid!
#5-(infinity) Now as always this is the BIG miracle of the week and maybe my
mission... not joking. You all remember B**d and Ang** H? Well they are
AMAZING and WONDERFUL and GREAT and Truly seeking for truth and their kids are
in tune with the spirit and and and and and, well you get the point!
Now for the
miracles that we have seen with them.
#1 Finding them! the Mcallister's had us
come help with a blessing for their daughter, Ol**ia, and then had them over to
their home to have them answer QUESTIONS that they had the church.
#2 Ammon the
Mcallister's youngest son stepped up and helped take care of Car*** their youngest son. He, Ammon, felt the spirit during the experience
whether he likes to admit it or not and that was needed in his progression.
#3
Their interest level not just in the Doctrine but also in the environment of the
church and the way members make them feel when they are around them.
#4-8 We go
out at 8 o'clock after a member dinner on Thursday and we get out when we did,
miracle, and then we go see Scott only talk to him for 20 minutes, miracle, we
walk around 5th and 6th street before going to the main street out of town which
is 4th. On fourth the H family stopped after a soft ball game and offer us ice
cream at Dairy Queen, we accept and tell them we will walk the last two blocks
to DQ. On our way a less active member stops and offers us ice Cream. We have to
decline, yes there is a first to everything. But we talk to them and set up a
time to see them the next day! we get the Ice Cream and then progress to talk
and as we talk members stop to get ice cream and come and meet the
H family!!!! We got home late but it was still one of the best experiences
of my mission meeting their AMAZING children and all of that!
#9-... The trip
that we thought would only be detrimental to their progression and turned out to
be a HUGE blessing, they went down to Des Moines for a Wedding and they were
convinced to stay down their on Saturday night to attend a Block Party with her
Sister and their family. they thought it would be a drag but it was inspired and
directed by the DIRECTOR of all things, even God. Now here is where i lose count
of all the blessings so here we go. They go and talk to their neighbor in Ankeny
and after a couple of minutes they mention that their son is on a mission...
THEY WERE MEMBERS!!!! And the wife is from SV so yeah!!!!!! we were jumping for
joy when they called and asked where it was that i was from in WY and i said SV
and then they recounted the entire thing to us over the phone. it was a miracle
and a half! Plus they LIKE THE family and it really taught them a lot about the
church and all of that. Miracle #(who knows what) last night we went to their
house after they came home for me to say good by :( sadness, and the kids all
wanted to play with elder Phelps and I. We did what we could with the kids which
consited of me playing with a super cool castle with Carter and elder Phelp's
drawing with the girls! helped them prepare dinner and then ate with them had
great conversation and all of that! then after dinner we went out side (the kids
wanted to play again) so we juggled a soccer ball and watched them ride their
bikes while we all talked on the lawn. after that we went inside and while the
kids got ready for bed we taught Br*d and A*gie a lesson! It mostly was us
talking about our commitment to the church and trying to explain why in simple
terms while trying to teach the Restoration. We, well probably not me, :,( are
teaching them at the Mcallister's on Friday and we are going to extend the Date
of July 19th for their Baptism!!
well this thing is huge....
