Secret combinations in the land... or "Elder, we don't have bedbugs!!"

We have stumbled across a dark and wicked combination in the land (Helaman 8:27-28) it is a horrible thing, they hide their destruction under the cloud of darkness and night, they drink of the blood of their victims and have filled the entirety of our apartment..... Bed bugs.....
We first saw signs of them on Elder Garner one was on his shirt and we saw it right after we all 5 of us prayed for the end of the day and were all hugging it was on his collar and it was a BIG one and it had recently feasted on blood. When we saw it I recognized it as ether a Tick or a Bed Bug. he flipped out and threw it down the stairs into our living room we couldn't find it until the next morning we were all kinda crossing our fingers  and everyone was praying that it was just a tick, i was looking for it on the stairs the next day and Elder Garner said "Elder we don't have bed bugs.  It was just a tick and you're not going to find it anyway." Not two seconds later I cried  "Found it!" with a grumble in my voice because I recognized that it was a bed bug and it wasn't the same bed bug.
We called the Mission Office and that same day we declared Holy War on the infestation. It is worse than any of us have feared and no matter what we do they don't go away. We have called in Big Bertha (the heating unit that the mission owns for killing bed bugs) and it should be here after its current assignment in Perry Iowa in a week or two. :(  if She doesn't work we will have to call in a pest control service and have them take care of the problem. for like 900 dollars to the church :(
Well on a more happy note the district saw TWO Baptisms on Saturday and one of them was in our WARD!!! It was a wonderful thing to have some one here make covenants with our Heavenly Father to live according to the commandments and to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
We have had an AMAZING week despite the setbacks and we were BLESSED to teach 25 lessons this last week more than I have ever seen sometimes in a month on my mission.  I love it here  ;)
The Jessie's are all doing well. Except Jessie Jones dropped us and we haven't been able to meet with Jessie the second. But other than that everyone is looking GREAT! Jessie F is almost on track for his date on the 26th of July except he and Kelly will need to get married before then so we are going to have to bump it back a bit.
the
Ward is amazing and they love to see the "mighty triangle" and have us teach them which we are alright with!
Sounds like all the grand kids had a blast at mom and dads but everyone is glad for things to be back to normal now!
Well hope all is flowing normal back home,
Elder Daniel Keeley
