It was a week of service and more service and then some MAJOR progress with
some part member families stemming from the service! The family is the S**s
she was baptized with her previous husband about 14 years or more ago now.
something happened and she and her now ex stopped coming and got a divorce. She
met D** and they got married a few years after. They recently have had some
things happen that have opened his heart to the gospel little by little and we
have opened the door as Ammon did, SERVICE! We have helped with yard work in the
past, the tree stumps that we removed, helped with garage sale this last week by
helping them bring stuff out of the garage in the morning and back in at night,
and helped him with changing a tire that the bolts needed some T.L.C. to come
off. It all culminated in some rides we had to his place that he has been living
at and getting some furniture with him and the talks we had in his truck! In the
end he is still confused why we would leave our families and friends and school
and dating and and and and... for two years and try to go and teach about our
church!!! It was a fun conversation to say the least.
We are also
seeing miracles with A* C. he is LOVING all that we teach him and is progressing
at his own speed!(which is always changing but is always forward!
)
Deanna is doing alright she has to have that surgery on her hernia and
now she also needs one on her ear also where a guy slapped her when she was 9
and it didn't heal right. In the mean time nothing is helping her with the pain,
not even morphine or the other big drugs out there so she is kinda restricted to
a very small area most of the time and sleep is almost nonexistent for her right
now.
We found a REALLY cool guy named C** yesterday. He was taught over in Rock
Island IL earlier in the year and we gave him a Book of Mormon and are going to
be working with him this week hopefully!
We have a SUPER chaotic week lined up and it is only Monday... :) we are
SUPER EXCITED TO WORK OURSELVES TO THE POINT OF EXHAUSTION AND BACK!
Well Everyone hope all is well on the home front and
love you all,
Elder Daniel
