Hi all-- we just got an email from Dan a little bit ago, and I am posting it, unedited context- (except what is in brackets for clarity) -for you to enjoy!  love mom

 Here it is:

Tell the girls that they have no idea how to teach the gospel there is no golden rule [for teaching] and i have learned so much. just yesterday as a district we learned how to properly use prayierm [prayer?], I have been doing it wrong my entire life, when you close and you say "in the name of Jesus Christ Amen" that means that everything you just said and wanted is what Jesus wants for you; chew on that thought for a while.  [Actually] I have learned that there is one golden rule on how to teach the gospel: feel the spirit, follow what it says no matter what, and pray, pray, PRAY every chance you get; just yesterday me and my comp. had to teach an investigator that we have a hard time with and we have been worrying about what to teach him. we planned for 3 different lessons and right before the lesson we tried to role play as investigator and missionary. i tried to start into the restoration and my mind went blank and the only thing i could think was "Crap we have the wrong lesson planned" this was right before the lesson so we did the only thing we could we went and prayed. it went some thing like this "God we have prepared to teach Ethan three different lessons and done all we can do, I know that we are not supposed to teach him any of the lessons we have prepared we are about to go into this room. Its in your hands now" we went in there and i cannot remember what we taught him but we taught what we needed to. We taught by the power of the spirit and the power of testifying, not just what we know but how we know it and why it is important. you can share this letter with your young women and anyone that asks. for the Lord performed in us a miracle and i cannot deny that. oh by the way I LOVE DEAR ELDER send me a letter every chance you get with that and hand written. This church is true.
Love your ever being humbled son
Daniel
