Well Monday was Memorial Day so no
Emailing then and yesterday Elder Phelps woke up feeling AWFUL and sooo
emailing got pushed to today!! On the bright side Elder Phelps is feeling
better today!
Wow what a week we had SOOO much
happen first off i will name off the meetings we had: our regular Sunday pile
(3 hour block, 1 hour coordination meeting, emergency branch council, and then
lunch... ;)
on Thursday we had Zone Conference and that takes all day, All four
of us missionaries meeting together to discuss lessons that we are attending all
together in the week, and then our regular scheduled services. We unfortunately
;) had too much to do on Friday and Weekly planning fell through the cracks.
So now you have seen our mess of
life, here are the miracles
#1 Sc**t ... He is amazing
and wonderful last Wednesday we went over to his place to have dinner and teach
him a lesson, he made us a roast in a crock pot... yeah we were spoiled!! we
then had a rather scatter brained lesson that went all over the place, normal
with him, that wended with us bearing pure testimony to him of The Book of
Mormon. The spirit was there and it was good!
He works night shift and the next
afternoon we got a text from him that said this "Hey Elders i want to
thank you for all that you have done you have brought the Lord with you into my
home and that is a rare thing. You guys have something right going on..."
I stopped dead walking when i read it and had to hand the phone to Elder Phelps
because i was speechless, he punched the air in excitement!
#2 The Zone Conference... Revelation
any one? Not only was it great to see friends and others but I received
Revelation that was hard to swallow for at the time, suffice is to say I need
my mind in the mission till the clouds wipe it out of my mind.
#3&4 Pa**s and B**ea, they are
back on the horse! We taught them a lesson that we blatantly said was a reboot
for them and us, we taught them about the restoration Via the introduction to
The Book of Mormon and their friend Jessica was there and we invited her to be
baptized and she accepted so she is now investigating the church also!
#5 The chance to slow down on Sunday
and take the sacrament.
#6 our best member to us right now
in the branch is Brother And Sister Mcallister. He is part of the Janesville
(small outlining town in our area) city council and he had some friends over
for a game night about 3 weeks ago. we went over the next day with their home
teacher, well one of them the other was in Europe, and they told us all about
it. Then coming home from Zone conference we all decided to be diligent and
stop by a LA member in Janesville they weren't home but we walked around the
corner to wait for the other elders to pick us up again, they had left to make
the drop off seem more like we had no way home, we saw Brother Mcallister
waving us down at the end of that street that we had turned down and hollering
at us. We walked over to him and he bought us all dinner and then talked to us
about some new developments with his Friends that he had over a couple weeks
before, An**e and Br*d are the Parents, their little daughter had suddenly
gotten very sick and nothing could be diagnosed other than she was loosing
white blood cells fast. So he had offered to come over with us and his father
in law who was in town and give her a blessing on Friday morning (why we didn't
have Weekly Planning), the spirit was there heavily during the blessing and it
wasn't very weird to them because they are active Pentecostals, they give
blessings to the sick and afflicted at the beginning of every church service
there with oil and everything just minus the priesthood.
#7 O***ia is the daughters name and
within 24 hours of the blessing she was diagnosed with Strep Throat!!! the
Priesthood is REAL!!!
#8 The Family has TONS of questions
and we are going over to the Mcallister's to help him answer those questions
here soon. PRAY FOR THEM THIS IS A FAMILY OF 6 PEOPLE THREE OF WHICH CAN BE
BAPTIZED!
Well it was a busy week but a good
week,
Have a Great Day,
Elder Daniel Keeley
Moroni 10: 32-33
