Wow Thanksgiving!

4 meals 2 days and 8 pounds later (I weigh my self every morning) we had 4 thanksgiving meals here in Centerville and I am completely STUFFED still (no pun intended), and we still have leftovers from all 4 of them in our fridge... I hope that we can consume it all before it goes bad.

Well now for a more spiritual side of the week. We had exchanges here in Centerville for the first time in three months and we got A LOT done in those 12 hours and we are still feeling the effects of the fun we had, (e.g. naps and lots of potentials to follow up on.)

F and J are doing great we are really really really concentrating on making sure that they start reading daily and that we are teaching them something each time we go over there and we are not just being good friends. It is a work in progress.

Melinda got a new job this week so we are having a really hard time meeting with her, but we are doing our best.

A solid peace of our branch is moving, the Rhodebushes they are hitting the road in an RV and going to live out of it, visiting their grandchildren across the country, but they introduced us to the family that is moving in and now they are our most solid potentials, most of our miles on our car that we are allotted each month will now be consumed by visiting them and F and J (both live 30 miles away from Centerville in different directions north west and south east)

Winter is here in the Midwest which right now means 40 degree weather and the combines still working the fields. We have had one ice storm so far this year and only one LIGHT snow storm... I miss a nice blanket of white on the landscape. (send pics please!)

I love having the people out here they have the Christmas spirit sooo much and they LOVE to talk (if they love to talk to us as missionaries is a different matter entirely) but we are in finding mode right now which means we turn EVERY conversation to God and the true reason for Christmas.

We picked up a couple of former investigators this week one of which is rather interesting J is the good friend of Brother Michael from our branch and he has read the book of Mormon. Literally the only thing that is holding him back from baptism is that he believes that it took place in Ethiopia "the fauna and ethnicity of the people matches so much better than in America and we all know that horses were introduced to America by the Europeans so it has to be in Ethiopia... I am not saying that it isn't IMPORTANT but you guys just have the area wrong..." that is from my journal. we also picked up P. she is about to have knee surgery and is SOOO amazing she is a grandmother who loves to SPOIL her grandkids and she has family that are members.
